Quiche Lorraine

Need to whip up a quick brunch but want it to feel a little fancy? Look no further!

This quiche can even be made ahead of time and then reheated throughout the week for a quick, delicious, and nutritious breakfast. It's really an all-round go to recipe in our house.

What you'll need:

  • 1-9" pie crust

  • 3 strips cooked bacon or 1/2 cup smoked pork

  • 1 small onion, thinly sliced

  • 1/2 cup veggies of choice (Here I used bell pepper and zucchini)

  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese

  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese

  • 1 cup milk &/or cream

  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg

  • 1/4 tsp pepper

  • 1/2 tsp salt

What you'll do

  • Bake the crust @ 400 degrees for 10 minutes (line the bottom with dry beans to prevent bubbles)

  • Sauté onion and veggies until golden and onion starts turning transparent

  • Combine eggs, cream, and spices

  • Grate cheese and crumble bacon and add to egg mixture

  • When the shell is done remove the beans, place on a cookie sheet, and fill

  • Bake @ 375 for about 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean

  • Enjoy!
